Top-seeded Toledo lost just one game during the Mid-American Conference regular season while No. 2 seed Ball State dropped only two. But both teams are gone from the MAC tournament after semifinal losses, leaving No. 4 seed Buffalo (19-12) and third-seeded Kent State (20-10) to battle for an NCAA tournament bid on Saturday morning at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland. The Golden Flashes haven't gone to the NCAA tournament since 2002 and they are three-time MAC tourney champs. The Bulls made the NCAA tourney in 2022 after winning the MAC tournament title for the third time and rebounded from a 12-16 season in 2022-23 with a winning record this season.
